Lazy Days

Today I did nothing except be a homebody and stay inside. I did some serious cleaning of the Tico House. Trying to get it up to par. But seriously, I love it. So do the kitties. They are getting so big. Here is a pic of them sleeping on my couch today. They are so freaking cute.
Dominical was nice. San Isidro was nice too. It is a
beautiful town nestled in the mountains just east of Dominical. There is good shopping, good restaurants and a ton of day trips available to surrounding areas. I was only there for a day and on a Sunday at that. A lot of places were closed and we only had the morning and early afternoon there anyway. Nonetheless it was a really cool place that I would love to go back to. Pics to come soon!
Anyway, just another day in paradise today. Life is good. I am happy. But I am still looking for exactly what it is I am supposed to be doing with my life. I still feel somehow empty. Where is my passion?

The Tico House!

Well Im all moved into my new casa. I am so happy with the choice I made. Tomorrow Emily is going to move in too. The house is great! It is a two bedroom with a great back patio, kitchen and bathroom. A big shower with ... you guessed it ... Hot Water! (although it is a little sketch). It sits back off of the road but if I walk out to my driveway and look across the road I have a great view of Pez Vela Marina and the ocean beyond. There are roosters and hens and baby chicks always in my front yard and a lime tree just outside and off of my front porch. Inside, the house is bright and sunny with windows all around the living room and sheer white curtains to let the light stream through. The floors are tiled white and the walls are painted all different colors. My bedroom boasts fuscha walls the color of a bright flower and the second room is brilliant blue. The kitties are in heaven with lots of room to run around and explore. The location is great. It is quiet and safe and well within my budget. So it looks as if I will be here for a little while. At least a few months. Start planning your vacations!!!! Besos!

Surprises in Costa Rica!

Just woke up and found this tiny little birds nest with its tiny little eggs in the tiny little tree by my big staircase. I wonder what kind of bird it belongs to because I have not seen any one kind of bird around a lot, but then again maybe I don't really pay enough attention. Wow! How cool though! Well, headed to the beach in a couple of hours! Until next time, Pura Vida!!

Well, now that I have long since finished my TEFL course, here are some really great pics of everyone I went to school with. Most of these were taken in Jaco over my birthday weekend but there are some from the graduation pool party we had at La Colina. Overall it was a great experience and I made some great friends and memories I will hold dear forever. This is a picture of the building that we had our classes in. It is the tall white building. The school has since moved to a new location. We were the last class in this building. Anyway, you can view more pics of the graduating class here!!! We had a blast and I would recommend the course to anyone who is looking for a fun and exciting experience that is also a smart career move. Anyway, that is all for today. Pura Vida!!!

The Sky is Crying!

It has been trying to rain all day here. The skies are a heavy shade of grey and the clouds are thick. There has been thunder for the last two hours but still no rain. In the distance you can see rain falling on the mountains, but here in Quepos the air just keeps getting fuller and damper. Still no rain. This is how it usually goes, with rain finally coming around 5pm and lasting into the evening and even sometimes until the morning. That's when the sun comes out and makes the day air hot again and the rain begins to build again. Its something one gets used to around here. I hear November and December are beautiful. Anyone up for a visit? Besos! -Nikki
